Watkins boys claim holiday championship

WATKINS GLEN-The Watkins Glen boys varsity basketball team won their home Holiday Tournament championship, Sunday, Jan. 4, by beating Trumansburg. The final score was 65-45.
Colin Gates led the Senecas with 21 points and five rebounds earning him the tournament MVP title. Matt Estes added 14 points, followed by Joe Palumbo with 11. Luke Flahive added another seven points, seven assists, and three steals. Michael Taylor scored four points.
Justin Duane, Keith Rekczis, Tyler Kelly, and Parker Pangallo each added two points, while Duane and Rekczis also had seven rebounds.
