Dundee boys play in championship game The Scots' boys varsity basketball team lost to Rochester Academy, 68-58, Saturday, Nov. 30. Dundee topped Williamson, 48-43, Thursday, Nov. 26. Coach Les Miller said, "Williamson led by 12 early and Dundee showed a lot of grit and closed it to two before the half."
Dundee girls open season The Dundee girls varsity basketball team fell to Red Creek, Saturday, Nov. 30. The final score was 59-48. Mackenzie Strait led the Lady Scots with 16 points and nine rebounds. Hallie Knapp added 11 points and 12 rebounds. Abby Miller posted nine points and five rebounds. Makenzie Cratsley had four points and 12 rebounds.
Penn Yan bowling tops HAC, 5-0 The Penn Yan varsity boys and girls bowling teams both beat Harley Allendale Columbia, 5-0, Thursday, Nov. 26. For the boys, Ben Broome had a 564. Cameron Bassage recorded a 529. Zach Gurba added a 424, followed by Jon Mashewske with a 335 in two games. Brandee Ellis led the girls with a 532. Andy Kniffin posted a 482. Anella Tillman earned a 446. The bowling teams will face Naples at home, Wednesday, Dec. 4 and Marcus Whitman, Dec. 5. Games start at 4:30 p.m.
Track opens winter season CORTLAND--The Watkins Glen/Dundee varsity indoor track teams competed in the 607 Invite held at SUNY Cortland, Saturday, Nov. 30. The girls 1600 sprint medley relay team (Kelsey Demillo, Haley Dean, Lily Hall, and Breanna Carl) placed fourth in 5:30.80. Lily Hall took first in the long jump (15'5.5") and second in the triple jump (33'0"). The boys 1600 sprint medley relay team (Colin Gaylord, Cale Sutterby, Skylar Lagramada, and Matt Wood) placed fifth with a time of 4:10.64. Wood won first in the 1600 meter run (5:11.42) and fourth in the 3000 meter run (11:32.27). Sutterby was fourth in the pole vault (8'0"). Nick Wilston finished fifth in the triple jump (39'0") and fifth in the long jump (19'2").
