WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen girls varsity swimming team won a home meet against Odessa-Montour, Thursday, Sept. 27. The final score was 98-66. The Watkins' 200 meter medley relay team (Victoria Wixson, Abigail Cocca, Samantha Gill, and Emma Allington) won first with a time of 2:06.30. Wixson also had two individual top wins in the 100 meter backstroke (1:08.52) and the 200 meter IM (2:30.82). Other Watkins first place wins came from: Alexis Naylor-Kleman in the 200 free (2:23.41), Allington in the 50 free (27.58), Gill in the 100 fly (1:06.55), and Cocca in the 100 breaststroke (1:18.23). The O-M 400 meter relay team (Maia Rumsey, Jenelle Bleiler, Jordan Little, and Taylor Rounds) also claimed first with 4:16.94. Rounds had first in the 100 meter freestyle (1:00.77), while Little was first in the 500 freestyle (6:20.70).
