'Summer Jam' at the track
DUNDEE (7/27/16)--Outlaw Speedway in Dundee is preparing for it's "Mid-summer Meltdown," which the track calls its biggest racing weekend of the year. The event will run Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31, and will feature two nights of racing along with a music festival and car show. Friday is the RK Howell Gravel Products Night, which is a full super six show with the Friendly Dodge and Ford big block/small block modifieds. Racing will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday is the Outlaw Summer Special, which features the big block /small block modifiers race for $3,000, the GRIT sportsman, the fight night street stocks, the CRSA Sprint cars and the four cylinders all competing. Racing starts at 6 p.m. Racer and Hall of Famer Buzzie Ruietmann and his son David will be racing both Friday and Saturday night. Sunday includes the Outlaw Summer Jam Music Festival with a car and bike show sponsored by Lane's Yamaha at 10 a.m. Three area bands will hit the stage at 1:30 p.m. and perform until 8 p.m. Bad Water, Small Town Shade and Devon Franks will each be performing.
