New state bar, travel regulations

NEW YORK STATE--Gov. Andrew Cuomo last week announced new regulations for all restaurants and bars statewide in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. They must only serve alcohol to people who are ordering and eating food and all service at bar tops must only be for seated patrons who are socially distanced by six feet or separated by physical barriers.
In addition, out-of-state travelers from 22 designated states with the highest infection rates must provide local authorities with contact information upon entering New York to help enforce quarantining or they'll face a fine of up to $2,000.
"We still have an issue with compliance," Cuomo said in response to rules on social distancing and mask-wearing. "I once again call on the local government officials to make sure they are doing compliance enforcement."
On Monday, July 20 Schuyler County Public Health announced there were four new COVID cases since their last update on Friday.
"Contacts have been identified and placed on quarantine," the release said. "Two of the individuals work at a local healthcare facility. We are working closely with the facility to monitor staff and patients."
For those looking at the numbers, the amount of people in isolation or quarantine has gone up significantly in recent days due to the quarantine requirement for travelers and the recent new cases. Schuyler currently has 33 people in isolation or quarantine.
