SPORTS RECAP: Week of 12-7-22

Dundee-Bradford
Boys Basketball
The Dundee-Bradford basketball team hosted Harley Allendale Columbia, Saturday, Dec. 3. The final score was 65-58, HAC winning. Leading scorers for the BraveScots included Cam Rosemier with 18 points, while Aidan Webster and Nick Slavick each had 10.
The team opened the season with a win over Addison, 63-49, Wednesday, Nov. 30. Rosemier recorded 20 points. Ryan McTamney added 15 points and Webster had nine points and seven rebounds.

Girls Basketball
The Dundee-Bradford girls basketball team defeated Penn Yan, 55-38, Saturday, Dec.3. Kendall Parker led with 23 points, including four steals and two blocks. Kailey Yeoman had 18 points with four rebounds and three steals. Adrienne Kendall added four points and three steals.

Bowling
The Dundee-Bradford boys bowling team won over Honeoye 3-2, Thursday, Dec. 1. Aaron Calhon and Sam Holiday led the team.
Cassie Morrissette recorded a high three-game series of 469 and McKenna Miller added a game-high 173.

Wrestling
The Dundee-Bradford wrestling team competed at a dual tournament in Avoca, Saturday, Dec. 3. The wrestlers finished the day in fourth with a 3-2 record.

Penn Yan
Boys Basketball
The Penn Yan boys basketball team opened the season with a loss to Midlakes, Friday, Dec. 2. The final score was 66-57. Carter Earl had 22 points in the game. Jaxson Enos and Tanyon Dunning both scored 10 points.

Girls Basketball
The Penn Yan girls basketball team lost to Dundee, 55-38, Saturday, Dec. 3. The team also lost to Livonia, 61-29, Wednesday, Nov. 30. Taylor Mullins recorded 10 points, nine rebounds and seven steals.

Wrestling
The Penn Yan wrestling team finished ninth at the Avoca/Prattsburgh Duals, Saturday, Dec. 3.
The team lost to East Rochester 33-30, Thursday, Dec. 1. Capturing competitive wins were Jacob Eaves (pin 1:06), Jayden Reid (pin 2:37) and Reed Bouchard (pin 1:59).

Hammondsport
Boys Basketball
The Hammondsport boys basketball team lost to Addison, 76-28, Friday, Dec. 2

Girls Basketball
The Hammondsport girls basketball team defeated Romulus, 51-25, Tuesday, Nov. 29.

Wrestling (Avoca-Prattsburgh/Hammondsport)
The wrestling team finished sixth in the dual tournament they hosted, Saturday, Dec. 3. Their record was 2-3.

Watkins Glen
Boys Basketball
The Watkins Glen boys basketball team lost in overtime to Dryden, 66-62, Friday, Dec. 2. Jacob Yontz had 29 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and two steals. Joseph Sutterby added 12 points and eight rebounds.
I thought we played well in our first game of the season," said Coach Scott Morse. "Dryden is a very
talented team that has size and shooters so we knew it would be a tough one tonight. It's always hard to lose in overtime but we battled all night and I'm proud of the boys. We have plenty to work on so we will get back at it and hopefully continue to improve."

Girls Basketball
The Watkins Glen girls basketball team defeated Dryden 51-36, Friday, Dec. 2. Rachel Vickio recorded 19 points with seven rebounds. Brianna Hatch had 10 points and eight rebounds.

Bowling
The Watkins Glen girls and boys bowling teams defeated Notre Dame, Thursday, Dec. 1. Brett Cullen-Pike led the boys with a 537. Alyiah Clink-Bentley paced the girls with a 480. Both teams won with a 4-0 score.

Wrestling
The Odessa-Montour and Watkins Glen wrestling team finished third at the Wellsville tournament, Saturday, Dec. 3. Tristan Harrington was second with a loss to Xander Outman in the finals. Lucas Hoffman also earned a second-place finish. In third place were Jaymes Forker, Jed Lynch and Balan Ault.

Odessa-Montour
Boys Basketball
The Odessa-Montour boys basketball team lost to Newark Valley, 90-54, Friday, Dec. 2. Daniel Lewis had 20 points.

Girls Basketball
The Odessa-Montour girls basketball team won over Jasper-Troupsburg, Saturday, Dec. 3. The final score was 62-32. Gina Gavich led with a career-high 19 points, Hannah Nolan had 13 and Keyonna Garrison added 12. Garrison also contributed 10 rebounds..
