Penn Yan
Baseball
The Penn Yan baseball team defeated Waterloo, 2-1, Saturday, May 6. Liam Chapman was on the mound with 14 strikeouts for the Mustangs. He was also 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and two runs scored. Riley Griffiths and Reed Bouchard were both 1-for-3 with RBIs.
The team fell to Geneva, Friday, May 5. The final score was 5-1. Brady Bouchard recorded 13 strikeouts on the mound. Chapman added a triple at the plate and scored one run.
Softball
The Penn Yan softball team won against Waterloo, 6-4, Saturday, May 6. Giana Ficcaglia registered 15 strikeouts pitching for the Mustangs. Hailey Trank hit a triple in the fifth inning to lead the batters.
The team also won against Geneva, Friday, May 5. The final score was 16-1. Ficcaglia had 15 strikeouts on the mound, while Maddie Breuer recorded a double at the plate.
Track and Field
The Penn Yan track and field team competed at the Hornell Invitational, Friday, May 5.
Top finishers included Cynthia Kriegar (fourth-shot put), Anthony Wheeler (second-1,600 meter run), James Tette (first-3,000 meter steeplechase) and Anthony Sciallo (third-discus). Tette's time broke the school record and automatically qualified him for the New York State Track and Field Championships.
Boys Lacrosse
The Penn Yan boys lacrosse team lost to Thomas, 9-5, Saturday, May 6. Teagan Fingar and Carter Earl each had two goals and one assist in the game. Tukker Fisher added the other goal. Will Thompson made 10 saves in goal.
The Mustangs also lost to Honeoye Falls-Lima, 12-8, Thursday, May 4. Braden Fingar recorded three goals in the game. Teagan Fingar had two. Thompson recorded 14 saves.
Girls Lacrosse
The Penn Yan girls lacrosse team lost to Honeoye Falls-Lima, Friday, May 5. The final score was 14-9. Bailey Cooper, Ruby Berry, Corinne Barden and Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger each scored twice. Irelynd Densmore added one goal. Marion Wheeler made seven saves in the goal.
The girls won over Newark-Midlakes, 18-8, Wednesday, May 3. Cooper scored five goals and had one assist. Gianna Voigt added four goals and three assists. Marion Wheeler had one save and Megan Wheeler had two in the game.
Boys Tennis
The Penn Yan tennis team improved to 7-1 on the season with a win over North Rose-Wolcott, 5-0, Thursday, May 4. Winning for Penn Yan were Landon Spears, Kyle Wheeler, Joe Droney, Carson Nagpaul-Thomas Barden and Nathaniel Chaffee-David Reid.
Dundee-Bradford
Baseball
The Dundee-Bradford baseball team recorded two wins, Friday, May 5 at Bradford school against South Seneca/Romulus. The team finished an incomplete game from earlier this season winning, 20-17, and won a full game, 9-1.
Alex Goltry pitched a complete game, allowing just two hits and striking out nine. He tripled and singled, driving in two runs. Eli Raplee, Jeremy Stiles, Gabe Stiles and Ian Gleason added hits for the BraveScots.
The team also won against HAC, 19-11, Thursday, May 4. Tied 8-8 heading into the seventh inning, Dundee-Bradford put 11 runs on the board to go ahead. Jeremy Stiles came in early in the first inning and threw solid for the BraveScots with three strikeouts. He added three hits at the plate. Goltry, Gabe Stiles, and Raplee all had multiple hits for the BraveScots.
Softball
The Dundee-Bradford softball team won against South Seneca/Romulus, Friday, May 5. The final score was 6-3. The team racked up ten hits. Adalyn Tham and Maddie Knapp each had two hits to lead the BraveScots.
The team also won twice in a doubleheader against HAC, Thursday, May 4. The first game was 16-0 and the second was 18-0. In game one, Addie Kendall threw a no-hitter on the mound. Mikayla Schoffner had a home run in the third inning. Schoffner and Madison Sutryk each collected three hits to lead the team. In the second game, Morgan Sutryk recorded the shutout for the team. Adalyn Tham led the BraveScots with three hits in three at-bats.

Top-five finishers included Kendall Parker (second-100 dash, third-200 dash, first-high jump), Madison Hughes (fifth-100 dash and 200 dash), Charlotte Schuerholz (third-400 dash), Lily Hall (first-triple jump), Peyton Mullin (first-shot put) and Delilah Buzzell-Wilson (fifth-discus).
Camden Buchanan was fourth in the 100 dash, Logan Curtis (second-400 dash), boys 4x100 relay (second), boys 4x400 relay (second), Logan Buchanan (first-high jump), Hayden Erick (first-long jump, first-triple jump), Ryan McTamney (fourth-long jump), Ian Pavlina (fifth-long jump), Connor Erick (fourth-triple jump), Ryan Longmore (fifth-discus), Camden Rosemier (second-pentathlon) and Brayden Rider (fifth-pentathlon).

The Hammondsport baseball team competed in tournament play, Saturday, May 6. The Laker lost to Hinsdale, 12-2 and Andover/Whitesville, 14-8.

Top finishers included Emmy O'Neill (third-1,500 run, third-3,000 run, fifth-2,000 steeplechase), the girls 4x100 relay throwers (third), Luke Szathmary (third-100 dash, third-200 dash) and Lucas Lampman (fourth-110 hurdles).

The Watkins Glen lacrosse team lost to Notre Dame, 18-7, Friday, May 5. Nick D'Alleva posted four goals and one assist in the game. Sam Hohle had three goals and one assist.
The team also fell to Dryden, Wednesday, May 3. The final score was 16-4. Hohle recorded two goals and one assist. Ben Chedzoy and D'Alleva added the other goals for Watkins.

The Watkins Glen track and field team competed at Odessa's Legends of the Night meet, Friday, May 5. Top finishers included Natalee Oliver with a third place in the 800 meter run. Rachel Vickio was second in the discus throw, Johnny VanScoyk took third in the 1,600 meter run and Ross Pentz was second in the boys discus event.

The Watkins Glen tennis team defeated Southern Cayuga, 4-1, Friday, May 5. Winning for the team were Jason Murphy, Andre Wixson, Katrina Ricca-Max Ricca and Faye Mooney-Alannah Klemann.

The Odessa-Montour track and field team hosted the Legends of the Night event at the school, Friday, May 5. Victoria Brewster was first in the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash. She also placed third in the long jump. Hannah Nolan finished first in the triple jump and was second in the 100 and 400 hurdles. Evelyn Zinger was third in the 1,500 meter run. Benjamin Campbell took second in the 3,200 meter run.
