High school graduations are this week

FINGER LAKES--Seniors throughout the region will celebrate the accomplishment of high school graduation this week at area schools.
Dundee Central School will mark the milestone of the seniors at a ceremony Thursday, June 22 at 6 p.m. As always, if the weather cooperates, the school’s front lawn will serve as the commencement stage. This year the valedictorian is Lily Hall and the salutatorian is Aiden Fatta.
Hammondsport Central School will present degrees to the class of 2023 at a ceremony Friday, June 23 at 6 p.m. Graduation will be outside weather permitting, or in the auditorium otherwise. Luke Szathmary is the valedictorian and Cadence Butler is the salutatorian.
Penn Yan Academy will celebrate the seniors at the graduation event Friday, June 23 at 7 p.m. The ceremony is planned to take place on the athletic field with speeches by school leaders and the conferral of diplomas. Penn Yan does not name a valedictorian or salutatorian.
Odessa-Montour will hold its commencement ceremony Friday, June 23 at 6 p.m. This year, the valedictorian is Kathryn Adams and the salutatorian is Victoria Brewster. The graduation is planned to be outside weather permitting.
Watkins Glen seniors gathered for their class photo last week in preparation for the graduation celebration Saturday, June 24. The event will begin at 10 a.m. on the auditorium.
The valedictorian for the class of 2023 is Katrina Ricca and there are co-salutatorians, Jenna Solomon and Nikhil Manakkal.
