YATES COUNTY--For the 184th time, the Yates County Fair is ready to open its gates. Daily events are planned for Tuesday, July 11 through Saturday, July 15, with a $15 admission charge per person covering parking, musical entertainment, grandstand events, daily shows and midway rides.
Daily events include the 4-H exhibit hall, Rosaire’s Royal Racers, the 4-H dairy bar and an antique tractor show.
Entertainment by day includes:
Tuesday, July 11: 4-H rabbit show - 2 p.m., pet show - 6:30 p.m., Playland Amusement rides from 6 to 11 p.m. and an ATV riders rodeo/obstacle course at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, July 12: Firefighter Day 1 to 10 p.m., 4-H Poultry Show 3 p.m., mannequin modeling and presentations 4 to 6 p.m., Playland Amusement rides from 4 to 11 p.m., animal science bowl at 6 p.m. and IWF-Wrestling, 7 p.m.
Thursday, July 13: Law Enforcement Day 1 to 10 p.m., 4-H horse show 9 a.m., mannequin modeling and presentations 4 to 6 p.m., Playland Amusement rides from 4 to 11 p.m., chainsaw wood carver, farm tractor pull 6 p.m. and the Beadle Brothers Band 8 to 11 p.m.
Friday, July 14: Annual Kids Day 1 to 4 p.m., 4-H rooster crowing contest 9 a.m., 4-H and open dairy show 10 a.m., Playland Amusement rides 1 to 11 p.m., kids day giveaway 4 p.m., chainsaw wood carver, Outlaw Pulling series 6 p.m. and Night Train 8 to midnight.
Saturday, July 15: Armed Forces Day 1 to 10 p.m., 4-H and open livestock show 10 a.m., rides from 1 to 11 p.m., chainsaw wood carver, mini mod tractor pull, mannequin modeling and presentations 2 p.m., Total Destruction Demolition Derby 7 p.m., Dirt Child Band 8 to midnight.
