Attorney General James to host event in Ithaca

ITHACA–Thursday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., New York Attorney General Letitia James will hold an “AG in Your Community” event at the Greater Ithaca Activities Center.
Community residents will have the opportunity to meet with Attorney General James, members of the Attorney General’s staff, and local government officials who will be available to discuss issues including tenants’ rights, housing discrimination, employee wage and hour laws, consumer frauds, health care matters, and more.
Staff will help address New Yorkers’ concerns and direct them to the appropriate government agencies for further assistance as needed.
Attorney General James, as New York’s Attorney General, is the people’s lawyer and the state’s chief legal officer. Under her leadership, the Office of the Attorney General serves as the guardian of the legal rights of the people of New York, its organizations, and its natural resources. The Office of the Attorney General has dedicated divisions to protect New Yorkers’ rights, including economic justice, criminal justice, social justice, and more.
Each of these divisions, and all members of the Office of the Attorney General, work to pursue justice and safeguard all New Yorkers.
