FINGER LAKES--The general election held Tuesday, Nov. 7, has unofficial vote totals showing there will be three new legislators for the county. This includes former County Administrator Nonie Flynn, former Penn Yan Mayor Leigh MacKerchar and Starkey Supervisor George Lawson.
The vote totals are as follows:
Supreme Court Justice for 7th NY Judicial District (vote for two): Alex R Renzi (2,106), Joe Waldorf (2,032) and Margot J Garant (1,244).
County Judge: Mackenzie M Stutzman (2,574).
County Clerk: Molly Linehan (2,674).
Sheriff: Francis Ryan (2,641).
Coroner (vote for one): Brian C Champlin (2,045) and Cheryl Nickerson (1,213).
County Legislator - 3rd YC Legislative District (vote for four): Winona B Flynn (623), Leslie Church (534), Leigh MacKerchar (533), Daniel W Banach (507), Mark Morris (412), Teresa Hoban (332), Phillip Rahr (148), Jan Enos (111) and Jeff Bradley (96).
County Legislator - 4th YC Legislative District (vote for three): Jesse Jayne (432), William R Holgate (369), George E Lawson (340) and Bonnie L Percy (331).
In addition to the candidates, local results on various propositions include:
State Proposition 1 (Removal of small city school districts from special constitutional debt limitation): YES (2,016) and NO (1,261).
State Proposition 2 (extending sewage project debt exclusion from debt limit): YES (2,164) and NO (1,114).
Local Proposition 1 for Middlesex (Abolishing the elective office of highway superintendent and creating an appointed office): YES (86) and NO (136).
Local Proposition 1 for Potter (Abolishing the elective office of town clerk and creating an appointed office): YES (85) and NO (91).
