DUNDEE--Underwater adventures and spreading the joy of reading will be promised at the 10th annual Fairy Tale Festival, Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Dundee high school gymnasium. The event is free and open to all ages.
The theme of the Fairy Tale Festival is “Deep Dive into Reading.” Crafts, games and activities featuring an “ocean” theme will be the order of the day. All children will receive a free bag, Solar Eclipse Glasses, safety band-aids, and a new book.
The Fairy Tale Festival is a collaborative effort between Our Town Rocks and Reads, DCS TRAILS, Dundee Library and multiple Yates County health service agencies. Sponsored in part by the Yates County Youth Bureau, the event is a creative step apart from the usual Health and Safety Fair. As children are engaged in a variety of fun educational activities, parents are able to receive useful information from the presenters.
Finger Lakes Photo Booths will have a photo stage for families to capture the excitement of the day.
